No. 16

I have, since childhood, loved bearded iris–in fact they are a signature of sorts.  It’s not just the bloom – their grey green sword-like foliage are a difficult texture to find elsewhere.

  1. Think we all have potential for these attributes-some explore, others don’t!
    Grew up near large iris garden. Went to college where principal grew and bred them. The scent en masse is stupendous. And yes the foliage smooth yet spiky is extraordinary amongst the linear leaved brigade.
    You’re a few days ahead of us here, but I await their airodynamic with anticipation!
